Azita is a member of Webster Kaplan Sprunger’s Family Law and Domestic Relations Practice Group. With more than two decades of experience, Azita has helped clients in all aspects of divorce, including child custody, child support and spousal support, domestic violence and related family law issues, as well as paternity matters. Azita has represented a wide range of clients from high net worth individuals in the business sector and entertainment industry to professionals in the medical and legal fields, entrepreneurs and business owners. Azita has successfully resolved highly contested cases involving custody evaluations and complex business valuations, both through litigation as well as alternative dispute resolution avenues such as mediation.
A graduate of UCLA, Azita earned her Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern University School of Law. As part of her specialized education, Azita attended the International Law Program through the Dickinson School of Law at the University of Florence, Italy, concentrating on comparative and international family law studies. Azita has also had specialized training to conduct family law mediations where she brings the breath of her extensive experience and knowledge of family law to assist parties in crafting settlement agreements, taking into account each case’s unique circumstances. Prior to joining Webster Kaplan Sprunger LLP in 2016, Azita practiced law at three preeminent Beverly Hills family law firms during the course of her career, including Phillips Lerner, ALC where she was a Principal and represented high-profile family law litigants for close to fifteen years.
Azita is a member of the California, Los Angeles County, Beverly Hills and Armenian Bar Associations and has been admitted before the United States District Court for the Central District of California. She is a member of the Executive Committee of the Family Law Section of the Beverly Hills Bar Association, where she contributes to organizing the Section’s Continuing Education Programs. Azita has been elected to a select group of Super Lawyers of Southern California since and was selected once more for 2018.
Azita is fluent in French, Farsi (Persian) and Armenian and brings the interplay of her multicultural background to her practice. Azita is actively involved in her community with various charitable organizations and volunteers her time as a member of the Board of Regents of the American Prelacy Schools, which oversees 11 private schools in Southern and Northern California.
